Netflix has revealed the first trailer and release date for the second season of ‘Invisible City,’ the Portuguese-language Brazilian series that has won over audiences both in Brazil and around the world. ‘Invisible City’ Season 2 will release on March 22, 2023, on Netflix, worldwide.


The series is returning after a two-year wait, and the trailer reveals the first look at new scenes from the series. In addition to the return of some familiar names, the trailer also includes new characters and gives us a taste of what to expect from the second season episodes.


In Season 2, After a long absence, we find Eric (Marco Pigossi) in a nature reserve near Belém do Pará that is both protected by indigenous peoples and sought after by prospectors. He discovers that his daughter, Luna (Manu Dieguez), and Cuca (Alessandra Negrini), have been living in the area with the intention of resurrecting him. Despite his desire to return to Rio de Janeiro with Luna, Eric recognizes that his daughter has a more important mission in the region. At the same time, in his attempt to protect her, he endangers the delicate balance between nature and the entities.


The trailer is partially narrated in the indigenous Tukano language, brought to the screen by the character of Pajé Jaciara (Ermelinda Yepario). "The second season will be set in Belém, a major city rich in history. The new episodes depict a multifaceted indigenous Brazil from the north, complete with new entities and fascinating elements from popular culture," said Carlos Saldanha, creator of the series.


Originally titled, Cidade Invisível, the second season stars Marco Pigossi, Alessandra Negrini, Manu Dieguez, Letícia Spiller, Mestre Sebá, Simone Spoladore, Zahy Guajajara, Kay Sara, Marcos de Andrade, Julia Konrad, Rodrigo dos Santos, Tatsu Carvalho, Ermelinda Yepario, and Tomás de França.


Invisible City Season 2 is directed by Luis Carone, Graciela Guarani, Cassiano Prado, and Luciana Baptista. Executive producers are Carlos Saldanha, Caito Ortiz, Francesco Civita, Beto Gauss, Renata Grynszpan, Marcelo Máximo, Luisa Adegas, and Marco Anton. Francesco Civita and Beto Gauss are the producers.


Based on a story developed by Raphael Draccon and Carolina Munhóz, the series is created by Carlos Saldanha and written by Mirna Nogueira, Antonio Arruda, Fábio Leal, Luíza Fazio, Iris Junges, Letícia Fudissaku, Regina Negrini, and Rodrigo Baptista.


In the first season, after discovering a dead freshwater pink dolphin on a Rio de Janeiro beach, Environmental Police detective Eric (Marco Pigossi) becomes involved in a murder investigation and discovers a world inhabited by mythical entities that go unnoticed by humans. As he investigates mysterious deaths that mirror those of his own wife, Gabriela (Julia Konrad), he is drawn into a community of magical entities. He eventually discovers that he is a half-entity and that the river dolphin spirit Manaus (Victor Sparapane), whom he discovered dead at the start of the story, was his father.
