‘Kiss or Die’ (2025) Netflix Series Review - Cheap, Vulgar, and Trash

If I had the chance to sue makers for serving bullshit content, I would have done that long ago. And I would have started with “Kiss or Die”. So from this show, the plot goes somewhat like this: this is an improvised dramatic world where the comedians are tempted by beautiful women, and they have to end the story with “a kiss”. However, there is a catch: if they kiss during the process of the “task”, they will be eliminated from the show, or in their words, the comedians will “die”.

So the first episode starts with comedians being taken into an office set up, and then we see attractive assistants entering and luring them. They are physically touching each other and trying to seduce. Now, just by reading it, you will realize how stupid a plot this is. They seriously thought this was worth selling? Doing improvised nonsense? In the name of adult comedy, do they think this will be successful? No. I found it gross and very cheap. There is no plot. Just a bunch of comedians doing improvised shit, thinking they are worth those attractive secretaries or god knows who those women were. I, for once, cursed myself for making me watch it. Basically, what the makers thought was that these comedians would keep their calm, control their lust, and also give us some comedy to watch. Eww. What on earth made them think that this show would work? For some, this might be funny, and I have no issues with that. But this is a horrible concept and an absolute waste of time. Everyone is overacting just to show that they are funny and the best comedians, but no, sorry, I will disagree. This show is not worth the hype of the watch. Adult comedy in the format of a reality show failed so badly.

The actresses are getting over the comedians trying to tempt them, which looks horrid. At one point, everything feels too chaotic to even watch further. Yes, I agree that comedy is improvised, but making it absurd and cheap is something I will never understand. The actresses are asking the comedians to touch them and are also making cheap gestures, which makes it disgusting.  Yes, the cast doesn’t break away from its role. The plot gets weirder and weirder episode by episode, but the cast keeps on contributing. Although there is nothing to contribute here. Another thing was the pacing. Since this is improvised, there is no set pace for the show. In fact, I found it very slow.

So dear readers, if you don’t want to waste your time watching some absurdity, this show is a big pass. It has nothing to offer you. In the name of spilling laughs, they deliver utter nonsense. It’s a headache to watch. Avoid wasting your time on this one and go for something meaningful.
