A24 has revealed the first full-length trailer for its upcoming Horror movie, "Lamb." The Icelandic-language film will arrive in theaters on October, 8.
‘Lamb,’ a supernatural pagan mythology movie that opened at the Cannes Film Festival, has made critics leery of disclosing anything, as even simple plot summaries threaten to ruin the film. Since its premiere, Lamb has been described as a disturbing encounter. Lamb should fit perfectly with A24's portfolio, which contains other legendary horror tales like Robert Eggers' The Witch and Ari Aster's Midsommar.
The film, which stars Noomi Rapace, Hilmir Snr Gunason, Björn Hlynur Haraldsson, and Ingvar Sigurdsson, follows a childless couple in rural Iceland, who uncovers an unsettling find in their sheep barn. They eventually confront dark and sinister consequences after breaking nature's will in an attempt to relieve their misery.
Valdimar Jóhannsson, who co-wrote the script with Icelandic poet Sjón, makes his feature debut with this film. Hrönn Kristinsdóttir, Sara Nassim, Piodor Gustafsson, Erik Rydell, Klaudia Smieja-Rostworowska, and Jan Naszews are the producers of "Lamb."
