Right from the time I watched the trailer, I got a feeling that this must be based on Wattpad. Turns out I was right. “Love me, Love me” revolves around June, a teenager who is trying to rebuild her life post the death of her beloved brother in Milan, Italy. She enrolls herself in an elite international school where she finds a comforting friendship with Will, who happens to be a student everyone looks up to.  He is respectful and liked by all the teachers. But things become complicated when his best friend James enters. James is the complete opposite of Will. He is troubled and continues to live a double life, which consists of fighting in MMA matches. June finds herself getting highly attracted to James while also liking Will at the same time. Will brings along with himself a calm and stable life, while James is troubled, but a source of big attraction.

Now that you read the plot, think honestly, have you not seen this before? Chances are you have, and you will continue to in the future. But my question is, how long are we going to deal with trash like this? It is high time we stopped getting plots where the girl is torn between two boys. How hard is it to set your heart on one guy? Why is it even a topic of confusion? It is so boring to see a plot about teenagers and their never-ending quest to become adults. It is very frustrating at this point. And if we are to borrow plots from Wattpad, how about we borrow something that actually makes sense to it? I questioned myself in literally every scene of this movie. It is an amalgamation of so many movies from the past that you won’t find any chances of originality in it. That is the biggest issue.

The actors try hard not to overact, but sadly, they end up doing that too. They try to be natural, but I don’t know why; something feels highly off about each one of them. As I said before, they try to act like adults, and I don’t know why they would do that, but they do.

Another thing was that the dialogue written wasn’t impressive at all. They don’t leave any lasting impact at all. It is like, you won’t even recall what they end up saying. They come and go and don’t leave any lasting impact, even when the credits roll.

All these just make the movie boring to watch. I would highly recommend that this one be passed. At a time when there exist really nice and good plots, this one is a frustrating watch. Everything about this movie will just anger you. The makers and writers chose the perfect theme of love and loss, but don’t portray anything well on those lines. They thought that giving an emotional angle to June losing her brother would make things better, but sadly, that doesn’t happen. The fact that she is struggling to choose a guy overshadows everything.  So all in all, I would say we can pass this one.

Final Score- [3/10]
