‘Men on a Mission’ (2024) Netflix Series Review - Sweet and Appealing

For those who are new to the show, you don’t need any recap of the previous episodes. Every episode is a standalone, and you can enjoy these while munching on your snacks or wherever you have free time. The amount of entertainment a single-hour episode contains is amusing.

The show follows a classroom setting where two actors are invited like in this one, the actors from My Dearest Korean drama Eun-jin Ahn and Min Namkoong. The actors came dressed as classroom students and actively participated in talking to the hosts of the show.

The audience will get a chance to see their favorite actors interact and give answers to some controversies. In this one, the air around the rivalry between Min Namkoong and Heechul was cleared. The best part is that actors speak freely and openly express their opinions. The fans of My Dearest will love this episode the actors have talked a lot about how they shot for the drama and there’s some behind-the-scenes gossip too.

Initially, the show might only be suitable for the audience who have watched that specific drama i.e., My Dearest, however, soon the ideology was shattered. There might be some problems for those who’ve not watched the drama, but soon you’ll forget that and enjoy the conversation they shared.

With over ten regular casts of the show, it was impeccable how there was no chaos with twelve people on the set. Everyone took their time to speak and no chaos was created.

As usual, the first segment was Entrance Application, where the actors spoke about themselves, and the second was Guess About Me. These two being permanent segments, we get to see a lot of candid chats. There was also a segment where they had to pose, and either one constituted guessing the song. The show is perfectly laid out and there won’t be a dull moment.

On this interactive show, actors and the cast are talking about topics that you won’t be able to see easily otherwise. Everyone is allowed to talk in an informal language which defies the reactivating senior tradition of Korea. This is a good thing as it sets everyone as equals thus making conversations more fun.

Those who like Korean variety shows should stay a fan of it forever. The audience outside of South Korea might find it a tad bit difficult to adjust to the show nonetheless, give it a try. Watch the previous episodes and see the amazing actors who have graced with their presence on the show.

My favorite part is when Eun-jin Ahn and Min Namkoong enact a scene from their show and rather end up in laughter. The guests enjoyed themselves, and both got an equal amount of attention. Eun-jin Ahn was very comfortable and often after a game, she’d do a happy dance. Just watch her cute reactions and try to stop yourself from watching her other shows.
