Mystery Thriller Series, ‘Echoes’ Gets Trailer and Release Date on Netflix

Netflix has revealed the first trailer and a premiere date for the limited series, ‘Echoes.’ Starring Michelle Monaghan as twins, the mystery thriller series will release on August 19 on Netflix, worldwide.

Echoes is a mystery thriller about Leni and Gina, two identical twins who share a frightening secret. Leni and Gina have covertly swapped lives since they were youngsters, culminating in a double life as adults: they share two homes, two husbands, and a child, but their flawlessly choreographed world is thrown into disarray when one of the sisters goes missing.

In the seven-episode limited series, Michelle Monaghan stars as identical twins Leni and Gina. The trailer begins with the twins wishing each other a happy birthday and hug, standing eerily close to each other, as Leni and Gina say, “Another year.” But then Gina wakes up to find out that Leni has gone missing. In the woods, a dead horse is discovered. Diaries with intriguing mysteries are discovered. And now the question is, is Leni still missing, or did she flee?

Gina is left to solve the mystery surrounding her sister's disappearance, but there is something that the rest of the people in their life are unaware of. Leni and Gina have been surreptitiously swapping lives since they were children, and they now have two homes, two spouses, and a child. But when Leni goes missing, the sisters' secrets start to come to light.

Created by Vanessa Gazy and "13 Reasons Why" creator Brian Yorkey and Runaways producer Quinton Peeples, the 7-episode limited series also stars Matt Bomer, Daniel Sunjata, Rosanny Zayas, Ali Stroker, Karen Robinson, Maddie Nichols, Gable Swanlund, Celia Weston, Tyler Rushing, Hazel and Ginger Mason, Alice Willis, and Michael O'Neill.
