Netflix has revealed the first trailer and release date for the Malay-language movie, ‘The Screaming Sky.’ The post-apocalyptic Malaysian movie, The Screaming Sky also known as Ceroboh, will release on August 31, 2022, on Netflix, worldwide.
The movie follows six people, who hide out in an abandoned building while the world is overrun by mind-controlling aliens called the Sky Beasts. But when one of them is exposed to the aliens, paranoia among them turns out to be just as deadly or fatal as any danger from the sky.
The trailer begins by showing a man tied to a chair in an empty building as the people surrounding him are panicking in fear. Things escalate quickly as this group of people shout and cry, and we see some dark and gruesome scenes.
Directed by Feisal Azizuddin from a screenplay written by Chong Keng Fatt, ‘The Screaming Sky’ stars Nia Atasha, Charles Roberts, Grace Ng, Sasidaran, Mia Sara Shauki, Syazani Zikry, and Kent Tan.
The post-apocalyptic sci-fi thriller is produced by Iskander Azizuddin and Elise Shick with Amir Muhammad as an executive producer. Amir Muhammad's Kuman Pictures is the production company behind the film, with Netflix as its distributor.
The film got the greenlight after its writer Chong Keng Fatt became the winner of the first screenwriting competition organized by the production company Kuman Pictures, which received over 100 entries.
