The second trailer of Spider-Man: Brand New Day, which is due later this month, seems to have been leaked online in a very poor video quality but with slightly better audio. This is not the first leak, as one of the first teasers of the film was leaked in December last year, and it took Sony months to draft a new trailer that was revealed in March 2026. The leaked trailer seems real, but due to poor video quality, it's hard for me to confirm it 100%, so at the bottom of this article, you can watch and make sure yourself.

The leaked trailer opens with Peter Parker in a casual, reflective moment, directly addressing the audience. He introduces himself with the iconic line: “My name is Peter Parker, but I’m also Spider-Man. God, that’s cool.” He mentions that he’s in his final semester at MIT, suggesting a new chapter in his life as a college student balancing academics and his superhero identity. The scene quickly shifts to what appears to be a personal video message. Peter asks, “Dad, who do you think is actually watching these?” and receives a lighthearted reply of “Uh, maybe someone” before signing off with “Well, bye. Someone.” Immediately after, a more serious tone emerges as Peter acknowledges the difficulties of his dual life: “And sometimes that’s not easy.”A sudden cut reveals Peter reacting with surprise (“What the?”), followed by a pivotal interaction with Dr. Bruce Banner (the Hulk).

Peter asks Banner if he has found a way to suppress the mutating DNA. Banner responds with a warning: “If you see me like this, RUN.” Peter then poses a deeper theoretical question: “THEORETICALLY, could you get rid of the bad aspects but keep the good?” Banner counters philosophically: “How would you decide what parts of nature are good or bad?” The conversation is interrupted by an apology (“Sorry about that”), and Banner questions whether Peter is one of his students. The dialogue then pivots to a larger, ominous threat. An unidentified voice states: “It appears we’re faced with a threat we can’t control. One we can’t even see.” This voice emphasizes Peter’s unique position: “You’re the only one who’s immune to it. You’re the only one who can sense it.”

The trailer cuts to a more personal moment involving MJ. Someone stumbles upon a conspiracy-style board and awkwardly explains, “Oh, see you stumbled across my board. I’m not one of those weirdos. I swear.” A character comments that “he’s a little weird.” MJ then introduces herself: “I’m MJ.” Another voice notes, “You two don’t know each other,” implying some memory alteration or new dynamic in the story. Action intensifies as someone calls out, “Yo, Spider-Man. You okay?” The line “Get rid of that monster inside you” hints at an internal struggle or symbiote-like threat. Peter (or Spider-Man) mentions heading off to check on MJ: “I might go see how MJ’s doing.” The tension escalates with confrontational dialogue: “You’re not going to get away with this.” A mysterious response follows: “But he might.” There’s a surprised reaction—“Okay. I didn’t know you could get that big”—possibly referring to Hulk. Peter urgently warns someone: “Sorry, but you’re in danger. You just have to trust me.” The reply is a reluctant “Fine.”

A new character appears, pleading desperately: “Frank, please. I don’t have anywhere else to go.” The scene builds to an emotional warning: “This whole thing can get really scary. Just going to let him go by himself.” A voice of authority reminds Peter: “I want you to remember your responsibility.” An intense, urgent command immediately follows this: “If you’re going to DO SOMETHING, YOU BETTER DO IT NOW.” The trailer closes this segment on a poignant note about power and duty: “Never forget that. No matter how powerful you become.” It ends with a lighter, more personal exchange: “Let me see you, buddy. All right, just give me a sec. Give me a sec. I’m not in high school anymore.

The leaked footage feels like a high-stakes mix of character-driven drama, scientific/moral dilemmas (via Banner), budding romance or reconnection with MJ, and an invisible, uncontrollable threat that only Peter can perceive. It heavily emphasizes Peter’s growth—moving past high-school problems into adult responsibilities, college life, and potentially darker personal struggles (“monster inside you”). The rapid cuts, mixed audio quality, and overlapping voices give it the classic chaotic energy of an MCU Spider-Man trailer while teasing deeper themes of identity, sacrifice, and moral gray areas.

In Spider-Man: Brand New Day, four years have passed since the events of No Way Home, and Peter is now an adult who lives wholly alone, having willfully removed himself from the lives and memories of those he loves. Crime-fighting in a New York that no longer knows his name, he's devoted himself entirely to protecting his city, a full-time Spider-Man, but as the demands on him increase, the pressure sparks a surprising physical evolution that threatens his very existence, even as a strange new pattern of crimes gives rise to one of the most powerful threats he has ever faced.

Directed by Destin Daniel Cretton, the film is written by Chris McKenna and Erik Sommers. Spider-Man: Brand New Day is scheduled to be released in the United States on July 31, 2026. Below is the leaked trailer:
