Another day and another leak. A third trailer for Spider-Man: Brand New Day has surfaced online with a few additional pieces of footage that were not part of the previous leaked trailer. The video quality of the trailer seems fine, with a few watermarks and a red strip connecting the corners. The audio is much better. There is another trailer at the bottom of this article, but I cannot confirm whether it's real or fake. However, this short does reveal a new character that hasn't appeared in any of the trailers.
The leaked third trailer opens immediately with a brutal nighttime street-level rematch between Spider-Man and Scorpion. Michael Mando’s Mac Gargan, in his full armored suit, ambushes Peter and pins him against a wall, his deadly stinger tail hovering threateningly close to Spider-Man’s face. In a chilling moment that sets the darker tone, Peter begins losing control of his evolving mutation—his eyes turn completely black inside the mask—triggering a surge of raw aggression. He overpowers Scorpion, grabs him by the tail, swings him violently, and hurls him directly into the path of an oncoming police car, making quick work of the villain in a fast-paced, one-sided beatdown that hints Scorpion is more of an early showcase than the main threat.
The trailer then shifts to Peter swinging through New York City with his new organic webbing, which appears far stronger than his old mechanical shooters but noticeably harder to control, leading to erratic and overly aggressive movements. These sequences visually emphasize his physical evolution toward a “more spider than man” state, with subtle horror undertones as he struggles against becoming something monstrous.
Next comes an extended dialogue scene where Peter visits Mark Ruffalo’s Bruce Banner, now working as a lecturer. Peter desperately asks for advice on suppressing mutated DNA, hoping to keep the beneficial aspects of his powers while removing the dangerous ones. Banner, wearing a visible Hulk inhibitor device on his wrist, delivers a stark warning: “If you see me without this… run!” This transitions into teases of Savage Hulk breaking free, smashing through Spider-Man’s webs with ease, and using a powerful thunderclap, culminating in a high-stakes sequence where the two heroes fall from a skyscraper during an intense confrontation.
The trailer heavily spotlights the new major antagonist played by Sadie Sink, a powerful psychic or mutant-like figure who unleashes devastating mind-control waves across New York. These abilities freeze civilians in place and allow her to jump from mind to mind, possessing people and creating city-wide chaos. Peter seems uniquely immune thanks to his Spider-Sense, positioning him as the key defender against her. The Department of Damage Control gets involved, viewing her as an uncontrollable threat and apparently recruiting Spider-Man’s help. Action escalates further with an epic crossover fight against a mind-controlled Savage Hulk, filled with destructive blows and some still-unfinished VFX in the leaked version. Additional sequences show Spider-Man battling The Hand ninjas inside a DODC prison facility, where the assassins wield electrically charged weapons. Peter counters creatively with his organic webbing, including a striking “web tornado” effect that clears out multiple foes at once.
Interwoven throughout are emotional and personal moments highlighting Peter’s ongoing isolation four years after the events of No Way Home. He shares awkward, heartfelt interactions with MJ (Zendaya) and Ned (Jacob Batalon), both of whom still have no memory of him, with Ned actively investigating Spider-Man’s secret identity. In one key scene, Peter brings MJ to Jon Bernthal’s Punisher for protection from the psychic threat. The Punisher acts as a reluctant ally—possibly immune to the mind control himself—and brings his Battle Van into the fray, while a memory-wiped MJ urges him to help Spider-Man. Brief flashbacks or voiceovers involving Aunt May add emotional weight, alongside broader teases of DODC seizing Stark assets and underlying mutant politics.
Apart from this trailer, another clip (which seems AI) has been circulating online that possibly gives the first look at a new villain, possibly Tombstone. As you can see below, this actor sports a high-and-tight/flat-top military-style buzz cut, strong jawline, similar to Swedish actor Dolph Lundgren. Unfortunately, due to the low-quality video, I was not able to confirm if it is Marvin Jones III.

In Spider-Man: Brand New Day, four years have passed since the events of No Way Home, and Peter is now an adult who lives wholly alone, having willfully removed himself from the lives and memories of those he loves. Crime-fighting in a New York that no longer knows his name, he's devoted himself entirely to protecting his city, a full-time Spider-Man, but as the demands on him increase, the pressure sparks a surprising physical evolution that threatens his very existence, even as a strange new pattern of crimes gives rise to one of the most powerful threats he has ever faced.
Directed by Destin Daniel Cretton, the film is written by Chris McKenna and Erik Sommers. Spider-Man: Brand New Day is scheduled to be released in the United States on July 31, 2026. Below is the leaked trailer followed by another clip (appears to be AI-generated).
