The Walking Dead has released a small promo for the 2nd part of season 10 which will have six-episodes. The promo (watch below) shows some new characters that will be part of the upcoming batch of episodes.

One of them is Maggie and Glenn's son, Hershel who has grown up and is probably around 6 yrs old. Little Hershel has the looks of his father. Maggie left Hilltop and Alexandria with her newborn son when Rick decided not to kill Negan and capture and jail him instead. It will be exciting to see how Maggie treats Negan in the upcoming episodes as they will be meeting for the first time after Negan is free.

Among the other characters, the promo gives us the first look at  Lucille, Negan's wife, the character is played by Hilarie Burton-Morgan, who is also the wife of Jeffrey Dean Morgan (Negan). We will see the story of Lucille and Negan in episode 22.

The promo shows the team of survivors, which includes Daryl, Carol, Maggie, and others in Alexandria, while Eugene, Ezekiel, Yumiko, and Princess are being captured by the Commonwealth.

Earlier this month, AMC announced the premiere date for the additional six-episodes of season 10, which also made season 10, the longest season of the series. The six extra episodes will begin airing on February 28 at 9 p.m. ET on AMC. All six episodes will debut early on the AMC streaming service, AMC Plus, every Thursday before the linear premiere on Sunday.

The official synopsis of episode 17 titled, “Home Sweet Home” as given by AMC says, "Maggie (Lauren Cohan) has returned with a story she is not ready to share, even when her past catches up to her. Negan’s (Jeffrey Dean Morgan,) safety is at stake again. Daryl (Norman Reedus) and Maggie fight an unseen and unknown threat." This episode will air on 28th February.

Episode 16 "A Certain Doom," which aired on October 4th, was supposed to be the finale of season 10 but due to the COVID pandemic, the delay of season 11 forced the management to come up with additional episodes for season 10. Season 11 continues to be in production, and it is on schedule to arrive during Fall, 2021.
