Strong Will, though, looks good when you watch, but soon makes you realise that the plot is highly predictable. The story revolves around Petch, a gifted musician who has mostly lived his life as his father. Now his father wishes him to give up what he loves the most: music. On the other hand, we have Dao, who comes from a wealthy family. The best thing about her is that, despite all the wealth, she is a very kind-hearted person. However, she too has her family who has planned out her whole life. This means that she has no authority to dream and do whatever she wants.
These two end up meeting and bond over many things, one of them being the fact that they live a life dictated by family. The question is, will their love get a chance for survival? The good thing about Strong Will is that the makers don't waste time introducing the characters to us. In the first episode itself, there are many things that become clear. However, this also means that the plot becomes highly predictable. At one point, there is nothing new that gets offered. As a result, the will to watch might die for many.
The pacing is even. So that means that you won't be getting bored anytime as and when the plot unfolds. I, for once, didn't feel the need to skip anything at all. The makers balanced it out, all but ensuring that the plot neither rushes nor slows down at any time. By this, you know that you need not fast forward.
Coming to character development, I do see a lot of scope for the development of the same. In fact, that would be an interesting angle to watch out for in Strong Will as we get to see them grow and whether or not they fight their families for each other and their dreams.
The only issue with Strong Will is that you know what's going to happen next. I hope I am proved wrong as and when the other episodes come out, but as of now, I did end up finding the plot predictable. And that's the problem, one cannot ignore this. This is what leads to viewers eventually losing interest in watching it. But if you are someone who wants to watch a sweet love story unfold, Strong Will will be a great watch. Through shared life issues, the makers get us a lot of beautiful moments that make us want more. It would be interesting to see how the rest of the story unfolds.
The show has been well captured, with some scenes capturing emotions and surroundings pretty well. One needs to have a certain type of interest when watching shows of this kind to enjoy them. If you, as a viewer, don't have it, then this show will make absolutely no sense to you.
Final Score- [5/10]
