Supernatural Drama ‘Strong Girl Nam-soon’ Trailer and Release Date on Netflix

Netflix has revealed the trailer (watch above) and premiere date for the Korean-language series, ‘Strong Girl Nam-soon.’ The supernatural-comedy series, ‘Strong Girl Nam-soon’ will release on October 7, 2023, on Netflix, worldwide, and JTBC in South Korea. One new episode of the series will be available every Saturday and Sunday at 10:30 PM KST starting October 7 till the 16th and the final episode on November 26, 2023.

In the series, Kang Nam-Soon (Lee Yoo-Mi) possesses supernatural powers. She went missing when she was a child in Mongolia. As an adult, she travels to Gangnam, Seoul, South Korea, in search of her parents. Hwang Geum-Joo (Kim Jung-Eun) (her mother) is eventually introduced to her. Her mother is an affluent woman who lives in Gangnam. Hwang Geum-Joo attempted to find her daughter after she died, and she also wanted to live a decent life, preoccupied with doing good things. Gil Joong-Gan (Kim Hae-Sook) is the mother of Hwang Geum-Joo and the grandmother of Kang Nam-Soon. Like Kang Nam-Soon, the grandmother and mother were also born with extraordinary power.

Somehow, Kang Nam-Soon, her mother Hwang Geum-Joo, and her grandma Gil Joong-Gan become entangled in a drug case that takes place in Gangnam. Detective Kang Hee-Sik (Ong Seong-Wu) begins working with the three women on the drug case. Kang Nam-Soon also develops feelings for Detective Kang Hee-Sik.

This Korean series is directed by Kim Jung Shik from a screenplay by Baek Mi Kyung and is a follow-up to the 2017 series, Strong Woman Do Bong Soon.

The series stars Lee Yoo-mi as Gang Nam-soon, sixth cousin of Do Bong-soon, Kim Jung-eun as Hwang Geum-joo, Kim Hae-sook as Gil Joong-gan, Ong Seong-wu as Gang Hee-sik, and Byeon Woo-seok as Ryu Shi-oh. The cast also includes Lee Seung-joon as Gang Bong-go, Jeong Bo-seok as Seo Jun-hee, Lee Jung-ok as Kim Nam-gil, Joo Woo-jae as Ji Hyun-soo, Jeong Seung-gil as Ha Dong-seok, Young Tak, Kim Si-hyeon, Kim Ki-doo, Ha Dong-joon, and Lee Hee-jin.
