Netflix has revealed the premiere date and the trailer for the upcoming action-thriller series ‘The Recruit.’ Starring Noah Centineo in the leading role, ‘The Recruit’ will release on December 16 on Netflix, worldwide.

THE RECRUIT centers around Owen Hendricks (Noah Centineo), a young CIA lawyer whose first week on the job is turned upside down when he discovers a threatening letter from former asset Max Meladze (Laura Haddock), who threatens to expose the agency unless she is cleared of a serious crime. As he travels the world in the hopes of completing his assignment and making a name for himself at the CIA, Owen quickly becomes entangled in a dangerous and often absurd world of power politics and devious players.

The trailer (watch above) shows the first days of Owen's job as a CIA lawyer. Owen is thrown into high-stakes intrigue despite having just graduated from law school when he discovers a threatening letter, known as "graymail," from the snake-tattooed Max Meladze (Laura Haddock), a former agency asset. Owen must ask, in between dodging bullets and charming love interests, "Have you ever had a panic attack?" It's clear that this is a high-stress job. Obviously, he'll get used to them as Owen travels the world to unearth the truth while high-ranking power players threaten his fledgling career.

The series is executive produced by Noah Centineo, Doug Liman, Gene Klein, and David Bartis on behalf of Hypnotic, Adam Ciralsky, Charlie Ebersol, and Alexi Hawley who also serves as Creator and Showrunner. The series also stars Laura Haddock, Aarti Mann, Colton Dunn, Fivel Stewart, Daniel Quincy Annoh, Kristian Bruun, Vondie Curtis Hall, Byron Mann, Angel Parker, and Kaylah Zander.

The 8-episode first season of ‘The Recruit’ is directed by four different directors. Doug Liman directed the first two episodes, Alex Kalymnios directs Episodes 3 and 4, Emmanuel Osei-Kuffour Jr. directs Episodes 5 and 6, and Julian Holmes directed the final two episodes. The episodes are written by Alexi Hawley (Episodes 1-3, and 8), George Ghanem (Episode 3), Amelia Roper (Episode 4), Hadi Deeb (Episode 5), Niceole Levy (Episode 6), and Maya Goldsmith (Episode 7).

‘The Recruit’ has been filmed in multiple international locations Los Angeles, California, United States; Montreal, Quebec, Canada; and Vienna, Austria. The series has eight episodes with an average duration of one hour each.
