Edit (July 26, 2021): Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania officially started filming on July 26 with full cast and crew at Pinewood Studios in the UK. The earlier report of the beginning of filming that came from Paul Rudd was related to the film being in pre-production.

Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania has started production at Pinewood Studios UK. Paul Rudd who plays the leading character revealed the news in a promotional video released for the Cheetah scholarship fund.

In the video, Paul Rudd says, "He is currently in London to film Ant-Man 3, so he can't attend Tyreek Hill Foundation Celebrity Basketball Game, fundraiser event."

The Ant-Man 3 was supposed to start filming on May 31, but we didn't hear anything officially from the cast, crew, or any sources last month after Director Peyton Reed arrived in London on May 17 for the production. Jonathan Majors has also joined the cast and crew for the shoot.

Remaining of the cast that include Michael Douglas, Michelle Pfeiffer, and Evangeline Lilly will join the shoot next month in London. The filming will also take place in Atlanta after the shoot completes in London. The returning cast also includes Kathryn Newton and Michael Pena.

Ant-Man 3 will further explore the adventures of Ant-Man and the Wasp. The film is a sequel to Ant-Man, Ant-Man and the Wasp, and Avengers: Endgame. It will be an installment of Phase Four of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The film is directed by Peyton Reed from a screenplay by Jeff Loveness written by Jack Kirby.

Jonathan Majors is playing the iconic time-traveling super-villain “Kang the Conqueror.” In case you don't know, “Kang the Conqueror” is a time-traveling entity, several alternate versions of Kang have appeared throughout Marvel’s titles over the years, including his respective future and past heroic selves, Immortus and Iron Lad.

The original “Ant-Man,” released in 2015, earned over $500 million at the worldwide box office. The follow-up, 2018’s “Ant-Man and the Wasp,” which arrived after the Infinity war, generated $622 million globally.

Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania is currently scheduled to be released on February 17, 2023.
