The second season of Break Point wastes no time talking about the Netflix curse. Apparently, almost all the players that were present in the first season suddenly started losing the 2023 Australian Open. People on TikTok and Twitter came up with some conspiracy theories. Even the news channels discussed this Netflix curse. Was it real? One can hear the chuckles of the Netflix people. It feels as if they really enjoyed putting together all the footage regarding the curse. A player states she doesn't believe in such nonsense, and the superstition is broken when Aryna Sabalenka enters the finals.

What's so interesting about Break Point Season 2 is that each episode is shaped around something specific. If episode 2 is about the younger generation wanting to take the place of older sportsmen, the third episode focuses on introducing diversity in the sports, which is tennis here. The fourth episode is about a player who wants to make a comeback, and in the fifth episode, two women - Maria Sakkari and Jessica Pegula - talk about the pressures of being young without many trophies and achievements. Finally, the players are thrown into a battle in the last episode.

Tennis, just like any other sport, can be very unpredictable. You might be winning one moment and losing the next. Sometimes, a player takes the first set and loses the second one. In such a situation, the player may either make a strong comeback or leave the stadium disappointed. At times, weather can play a significant role in the game, turning it upside down in an instant. A player who was dominating before the rain may end up losing after a short break. It's not easy to perform at your best after losing focus or getting distracted.

The docuseries effectively displays the stress the athletes face during the game. I liked how they analyzed what they could have done differently after losing a match. It's easy for the spectators to pass comments or online criticisms, but only the players know their actions become almost spontaneous in front of their opponents. Break Point emphasizes that what makes tennis so thrilling is the fact that anyone can seize the championship title from a celebrated sportsman at any moment. Just see how Ben Shelton shocks everyone with his triumph. All in all, Break Point Season 2 is quite enjoyable. I wasn't expecting much from this season, as I didn't like the first one. But this turned out to be surprisingly pleasant. Like an exciting tennis match, Season 2 turns the tables to emerge as something of a champion.

Final Score- [7/10]
