Amazon’s Fantasy series “Carnival Row” has resumed filming in Prague, Czech Republic, today. According to the reports, the “Carnival Row” team is back with Orlando Bloom and Cara Delevingne in the city to shoot the remaining parts of season 2.

This may come as surprise because many news outlets including us and local news sources in the Czech Republic has reported last year in August that season 2 has completed the filming. Even the showrunner Erik Oleson himself confirmed and thanked the locals for the support during the season 2 shoot.

We can confirm, many of the scenes which are currently being filmed involve Orlando Bloom, who was not available last year due to the birth of his first child (Daisy Dove Bloom) with Katy Perry.

This is a huge disappointment for the fans who are waiting for the second season for the last two years, now their wait has become longer than they expected. Season 2 may premiere later this year or certainly, in early 2022, it totally depends on how much post-production is complete.

The show’s second season originally began filming on Nov. 11, 2019, but was halted on March 12. The series again resumed production in May last year and as per the reports completed filming in August 2020, leaving the scenes which involved Orland Bloom.

Orlando Bloom as Rycroft Philostrate in Carnival Row Season 2

"Carnival Row" starring Orlando Bloom and Cara Delevingne is a Victorian fantasy world filled with mythological immigrant creatures whose rich homelands were invaded by the empires of man. This growing immigrant population struggles to coexist with humans in the grimiest section of the city -- forbidden to live, love, or fly with freedom. But even in darkness, hope lives, as a human detective, Rycroft Philostrate, and a refugee faerie named Vignette Stonemoss rekindle a dangerous affair despite an increasingly intolerant society. Vignette harbors a secret that endangers Philo's standing during his most important case yet: a string of gruesome murders threatening the uneasy peace of the Row. As Philo investigates, he reveals a monster no one could imagine.

The show also stars Simon McBurney, Tamzin Merchant, David Gyasi, Andrew Gower, Karla Crome, Arty Froushan, Sinead Phelps, Indira Varma, and Jared Harris.

The Emmy-nominated series is a joint venture between Amazon Studios and Legendary Television.
