‘DOM’ Season 3 Release Date Revealed With Its Trailer by Amazon’s Prime Video

Amazon has revealed the premiere date and the first teaser trailer (watch above) for the third and final season of DOM, the Portuguese-language series from Brazil. ‘DOM’ Season 3 will be released on May 24, 2024, on Prime Video, worldwide.

In the third and final season of Dom, the countdown has begun, and our characters are getting closer to death. On one side, Pedro seeks refuge in Rocinha, Rio's largest slum, in an attempt to flee the police while also being threatened by drug traffickers. On the other, Victor Dantas, aware of his son's plight, has to deal with lung cancer and is doing everything in his power in a last attempt to rescue Pedro. Despite this emotional struggle, the impending death does not depress Victor and Pedro but rather brings them back to life. The series ultimately portrays the dramatic incident in which Pedro detonates the explosive in the tunnel just before dying. A hunt so publicized and brutal that there could have been no other outcome.

The six-episode season 3 is directed by Adrian Teijido and Felipe Vellas. The series is produced by Amazon Studios and Conspiração.

Dom, Amazon Prime Video's first scripted Brazilian original series, is a crime drama based on the true story of a father and son on opposing sides of Rio de Janeiro's drug war. The show follows Victor, a young diver who, by chance in 1969, becomes a military intelligence agent and dedicates his life to the drug war. Over time, he becomes disillusioned with endless war and sees his own son, Pedro, succumbs to the monster he has relentlessly fought against: cocaine. Pedro becomes an addict as well as the leader of a criminal group that dominated the tabloids in the early 2000s, eventually becoming one of Rio's most sought-after criminals: Pedro Dom.
