What first got me was the title of the movie. And that was enough to watch it. “Even if this love disappears tonight” revolves around Seo-yoon, whose memory resets every single day. This means she has absolutely no recollection of what happened the previous day. Then we have Kim Jae-won, her classmate who, in spite of knowing of her condition, willingly enters into a relationship with her. To some, this might remind them of the old couple in “The Notebook”. But well, that is what the makers want us to see: true love exists and doesn’t see far beyond anything else. We can all understand how difficult it is to be in a relationship with someone who doesn’t remember anything from the past. That means you will have to make them fall in love with you every day and remind them of the love that exists between them. This is the theme that “Even if this love disappears tonight” deals with, and it has been explored beautifully. Director Kim Hye-young brings us a soft yet tragic love story that might remind us of many star-crossed lovers. This plot is fresh to watch.

Coming to the acting, the roles have been well portrayed by Shin Si-a and Choo Young-woo, who play Seo-yoon and Kim Jae-won, respectively. They not only look good together but also complement each other in acting together. The roles require a diverse range of emotions to be displayed by them, and they make a point on the job in doing the same. It's amazing to see them in the role together.

Other than that, the only drawback I felt was the pacing. It is sometimes slow, sometimes fast. That becomes a bit erratic to watch. I wish the makers paid more attention to the pacing, as that is one crucial make-or-break point for any film/series. In this movie, some scenes stretch longer than needed, and some don’t stretch at all. This is what leads to annoyance because it makes it somewhat difficult to grasp the gravity of the situation. Nonetheless, with all the other good things in place, this one thing can be ignored.

However, I must warn you that if you are someone who isn’t into something this emotional, this movie might not be the perfect choice for you. It is very high on emotions, and for some viewers, that can be a bit erratic. This movie has a very specific type of audience that everyone cannot be or cannot cater to. So, only if you are someone who doesn’t mind watching something tragic, even if this love disappears tonight, is this for you.

So all in all, this can be a one-time watch. You won’t feel bored at all with the plot. It explores love in the best possible way ever, which makes you re-believe in love as well, and makes you think even once the credits start to roll.

Final Score- [8/10]
