‘Family Switch’ Netflix Movie Review - Works Wonders

After a long time, I have seen a good Christmas film. Family Switch works wonders and this is something that I’ll recommend if you’re searching for a good Christmas title to watch with your family. From the sci-fi angle to drama to romance, everything seems to have been added.

The last scene of the film was so satisfying because at the end the Walker family finally remembered what it is like to be back to normal and express your love to each other. Initially, when the 105-minute movie started, the audience noticed that this family was nothing but chaos. Everyone was busy with their chores and the kids didn’t want to spend a good family time.

While CC is a great soccer player, Wyatt is a nerd, and Bill is the almost popstar music teacher. Who can forget Emma Myers after her spectacular performance on Wednesday? The wolf girl gave a stunning performance as CC and she was the one who caught my attention. I wanted to see her versatility, and the young girl is here to exceed your expectations. As CC and as her mom after the soul swapping, Myers should have a caliber of an upbringing shining star.

Every actor, be it Brady Noon, Jennifer Garner, or Ed Helms they have nailed their roles and there wasn’t a moment where I felt that this was a usual Christmas movie. The film presents itself as an unconventional Christmas title and had it not used the backdrop of the festival, it would have remained attractive.

The writers have done wonders while the combination of colors, cinematography, and action scenes have made this movie worthwhile. Though Rita Moreno gave a special appearance as Angelica, it was her role that flipped the fate of this movie. There can be various theories that can be discussed around her role like she could be an angel who was sent to make this family realize the importance of each other.

It is after being soul-swapped that these individuals realize the true hardships that the kids or the parents face in their daily lives. I felt sad for poor Miles. Being a toddler, the kid had no idea what was going on and he had to live in the body of their pet. The kid could have at least been spared nonetheless it was funny watching the kid running after Bones and the dog asking for a diaper.

The scene that felt weird to watch was where Bill and Jess were asked to kiss by Jess’s friends. Now, if they had been Bill and Jess it wouldn’t have been odd, but in their bodies resided CC and Wyatt who were siblings. This was gross but made you wonder if they’ll do the deed.

In all, Family Switch is hilarious and adventurous at the same time and you’ll not regret watching this one. Contrary to the traditional rom-com served on Christmas, this one feels like a breath of fresh air.
