Netflix has revealed the first trailer for the horror series, ‘Midnight Mass.’ From the producers of The Haunting of Hill House, ‘Midnight Mass’ will premiere on Netflix on September 24, worldwide.
'Midnight Mass,' from The Haunting of Hill House creator Mike Flanagan, is set on Crockett Island, an isolated island community that witnesses miraculous events – and terrifying omens – following the entrance of a charismatic, mysterious young priest. The series involves a small, remote island village whose already-existing divides are worsened by the return of a disgraced young man (Zach Gilford) and the arrival of a charismatic priest (Hamish Linklater). When Father Paul's arrival on Crockett Island coincides with strange and seemingly miraculous events, the community experiences a newfound religious fervor - but do these miracles come at a cost?
"I know. You struggled with what happened. With what you did. But help is here," says the old lady at the beginning of the trailer. The trailer ends with the Nun saying "I am so glad that you'll be with us for what comes next."
The seven-episode limited series, created and directed by Flanagan, also stars Kate Siegel, Rahul Abburi, Crystal Balint, Matt Biedel, Alex Essoe, Annabeth Gish, Rahul Kohli, Kristin Lehman, Robert Longstreet, Igby Rigney, Annarah Shephard, Samantha Sloyan, Henry Thomas, and Michael Trucco. Flanagan and Trevor Macy are executive producers for Intrepid Pictures.
