One of the best Netflix original series of this year, Locke & Key is set to resume production of season 2 in Toronto, Canada. According to Deadline the filming will begin on September 21 at Cinespace Film Studios and will target to complete production by March 2021.
The first season of the show was premiered in February and received a positive response from both the critics and the audience. In March 2020, the series was renewed for season 2. Locke & Key is based on the comic books by Joe Hill and Gabriel Rodríguez
Locke & Key is a supernatural fantasy-drama which follows the Locke siblings after their father is murdered under mysterious circumstances, the three siblings and their mother move into their ancestral home, Keyhouse, which they discover is full of magical keys that may be connected to their father's death. As the Locke children explore the different keys and their unique powers, a mysterious demon awakens - and will stop at nothing to steal them. From Carlton Cuse and Meredith Averill, Locke and Key is a coming-of-age mystery about love, loss, and the unshakable bonds that define family.
Created by Carlton Cuse and Meredith Averill, the first season of Locke and Key starred Darby Stanchfield, Connor Jessup, Emilia Jones, Jackson Robert Scott, Laysla De Oliveira, Aaron Ashmore, Petrice Jones, and Griffin Gluck.
Carlton Cuse and Meredith Averill are also executive produce alongside Aron Eli Coleite, Joe Hill, Chris Ryall with Lydia Antonini and Ted Adams for IDW, Andy Muschietti, Barbara Muschietti, David Alpert, and Rick Jacobs for Circle of Confusion, Lindsey Springer, and John Weber and Frank Siracusa for Take 5.
