“Locke & Key” season 3 has started the filming on season 3 in Toronto Officially on Monday last week, however, the official confirmation came yesterday from the series star Darby Stanchfield this Monday. Season 2 concluded the filming on April 16 and is yet to get a premiere date on Netflix.
Stanchfield confirmed yesterday the start of season 3 production via her Instagram post.

Season 2 is currently in post-production, we don't have any confirmation on the season 2 premiere which was rumored to arrive at beginning of this summer. But seeing the current timeline of production, we can hope it to arrive by the end of October 2021.
Season 3 is set to retain the cast of season 2 with Brendan Hines joining as a new face in season 2 of Locke & Key, he will play Josh Bennett, a charismatic and mysterious new history teacher at Matheson Academy with a secret agenda. Also, Aaron Ashmore and Hallea Jones will appear as regulars in season 2. Ashmore portrays Duncan Locke - a Locke family member, and Jones plays Eden Hawkins. Liyou Abere will be a guest star in season two, he will play Amie Bennett, a spirited 11-year-old who becomes fast friends with Bode and an ally against the evil forces threatening the Lockes.
Earlier in December, “Locke & Key” got season 3 renewal along with co-showrunner Meredith Averill signing an overall deal with Netflix for TV series and other projects.
Created by Carlton Cuse and Meredith Averill, the first season of Locke and Key starred Darby Stanchfield, Connor Jessup, Emilia Jones, Jackson Robert Scott, Laysla De Oliveira, Aaron Ashmore, Petrice Jones, and Griffin Gluck.
The first season of the show was premiered in February and received a positive response from both the critics and the audience. Locke & Key is based on the comic books by Joe Hill and Gabriel Rodríguez.
