Netflix Supernatural and fantasy series “Locke & Key” has officially wrapped up filming on season 3 today in Toronto, Canada. Season 3 began production on May 3, which was just two weeks after the second season finished production.
Series star Emilia Jones confirmed the production wrap via her Instagram post. Darby Stanchfield wrapped her part in the first week of this month.
The second season of 'Locke & Key,' which premieres on October 22, will continue the aftermath of Dodge's masquerade. In the season finale, when Eden was hit by the demonic bullet, she got possessed by something evil that came through the black door.
Season 3 is likely to have the same cast as Season 2, with Brendan Hines arriving as a new face in Season 2 of Locke & Key. He will portray Josh Bennett, a charismatic and mysterious new history teacher at Matheson Academy with a secret motive. Season 2 will also see the return of Aaron Ashmore and Hallea Jones as regulars. Duncan Locke, a Locke family member, is played by Ashmore, and Eden Hawkins is played by Jones. In season two, Liyou Abere will appear as Amie Bennett, a spirited 11-year-old who makes fast friends with Bode and an ally against the terrible forces threatening the Lockes.
Earlier in December 2020, “Locke & Key” scored season 3 renewal along with co-showrunner Meredith Averill signing an overall deal with Netflix for TV series and other projects.
Created by Carlton Cuse and Meredith Averill, the first season of Locke and Key starred Darby Stanchfield, Connor Jessup, Emilia Jones, Jackson Robert Scott, Laysla De Oliveira, Aaron Ashmore, Petrice Jones, and Griffin Gluck. Locke & Key is based on the comic books by Joe Hill and Gabriel Rodríguez.
