Maitreyi Ramakrishnan Reveals ‘Never Have I Ever’ Season 2 Premiere Date

Netflix may have kept all the detail about ‘Never Have I Ever’ season 2 under the wraps, but that doesn't stop the fans to get the answers directly from the series stars. The leading star of the series Maitreyi Ramakrishnan has revealed when season 2 will premiere on Netflix.

Maitreyi was in conversation with Lily Singh on her talk show - "Late With Lilly" on NBC where she revealed that ‘Never Have I Ever’ Season 2 is coming this July (2021), she later confirmed the July premiere on Twitter. However, she didn't reveal when exactly in July the show will premiere. 

Maitreyi also told the fans to have some patience as she will be revealing more about the second season in the upcoming weeks. Till then, the audience of the Netflix hit teenage-comedy can make their guesses. As an audience myself, I am guessing it to be 12th July.

Season 2 started production in November 2020 and has a little break in January 2021, after the resumption, it has completed filming last month. Season 2 is currently in post-production. 

Earlier, Season 2 added some new faces to the cast in Megan Suri, Tyler Alvarez, Utkarsh Ambudkar, and P.J. Byrne. Season 2 will see Maitreyi Ramakrishnan reprise her lead role as high school student Devi Vishwakumar alongside the returning cast including Poorna Jagannathan(who plays Devi’s mother Dr. Nalini Vishwakumar), Richa Moorjani (who plays her cousin Kamala), Jaren Lewison, Darren Barnet, Lee Rodriguez, and Ramona Young.

"Never Have I Ever" is a coming of age comedy about the life of a modern-day first-generation Indian American teenage girl Devi played by Maitreyi Ramakrishnan. The character is an overachieving high school sophomore who has a short fuse that gets her into difficult situations. In addition to the ultra-relatable high school drama about fitting in, searching for love, and trying to figure out who you are, Devi is also dealing with the sudden death of her father.
