‘Money Heist’ Season 5 Wraps Up Filming, All Set to Arrive This Year

La Casa de Papel is officially coming to an end very soon, Netflix hit Spanish series “Money Heist” (La Casa de Papel) has completed filming for its fifth and final season, which will arrive later this year.

The announcement comes from the official Twitter account of Netflix that says, "What started as a heist, ended as a family. It’s a wrap on Part 5 of La Casa de Papel/Money Heist. Thank you to all the fans for being part of La Resistencia! We can’t wait to show you how this story ends."

The filming for the fifth season started in Spain in August last year after it was renewed for its final season in July 2020.

At the time of its renewal, creator Alex Pina said “We’ve spent almost a year thinking about how to break up the band. How to put the Professor on the ropes. How to get into situations that are irreversible for many characters. The result is the fifth part of ‘La Casa de Papel.’ The war reaches its most extreme and savage levels, but it is also the most epic and exciting season.”
 

La Casa De Papel (Money Hiest) season  5 is directed by Jesús Colmenar, Koldo Serra and Álex Rodrigo. 

The series stars Úrsula Coberó (Tokyo), Álvaro Morte (The Professor), Itziar Ituño (Lisbon), Pedro Alonso (Berlin), Miguel Herrán (Rio), Jaime Lorente (Denver), Esther Acebo (Stockholm), Enrique Arce (Arturo), Darko Peric (Helsinki), Hovik Keuchkerian (Bogotá), Luka Peros (Marseille), Belén Cuesta (Manila), Fernando Cayo (Coronel Tamayo), Rodrigo de la Serna (Palermo), Najwa Nimri (Inspector Sierra), and José Manuel Poga (Gandía).

Regular directors Jesús Colmenar, Koldo Serra and Álex Rodrigo return behind the camera.

Jesús Colmenar has executive produced with Pina finishing his run as executive producer and showrunner along with Cristina López Ferraz who has also filled the role of director of the production. Javier Gómez Santander is head writer and co-producer with DoP Migue Amodeo and Esther Martínez-Lobato

“Money Heist” is Netflix's one of the most-watched non-English language series and the final season will arrive later in 2021.
