Netflix has revealed a new trailer for its upcoming Swedish-language crim-thriller, Clark. Starring Bill Skarsgård in the leading role, Clark will release on May 5 on Netflix.
Based on the truth and lies revealed in the autobiography of Clark Olofsson, the series will follow Clark from his childhood to the present day. The infamous gangster began his criminal career in the 1960s and went on to become one of the most controversial figures in modern Swedish history. Convicted on many counts of drug trafficking, attempted murder, assault, theft, and dozens of bank robberies, he has spent more than half his life in prison, leaving a trail of pain, heartache, disappointment, and overall misery behind him.
Clark developed the concept of "The Stockholm Syndrome" following a failed bank heist in Stockholm in the 1970s - and has since maintained his position as a celebrity criminal, deceiving the entire country of Sweden into falling in love with him.
ALong side Bill Skarsgård, the series stars Adam Lundgren, Sandra Ilar, Malin Levanon, Hanna Björn, Vilhelm Blomgren, Peter Viitanen, Isabelle Grill, Björn Gustafsson, Robin Nazari and Alicia Agneson. The cast also includes Linus Wahlgren, Alexander Karim, Christoffer Nordenrot, Daniel Hallberg, Rachel Mohlin, Henrik Lundström, Arja Saijonmaa, Freja Beha Erichsen, Hans Erik Dyvik Husby, Agnes Lindström, Rikard Ulvshammar, Babben Larsson, Peter Järn, Henrik Hjelt, Peter Apelgren, Staffan Kihlbom Thor, Amalie Bruun, Wilson Gonzalez and Kolbjörn Skarsgård, who plays Clark Olofsson as a 6-year old.
Produced by Scandinavian Content Group, Clark is directed by Jonas Åkerlund, based on the screenplay written by Fredrik Agetoft, Peter Arrhenius, and Jonas Åkerlund et al. Börje Hansson and Julia Stannard are the producers of the film with Hans Engholm, Jonas Åkerlund and Bill Skarsgård as Executive producers.
