Though Ashley has shown to be a part of the group, I have always missed her presence. The way she brought charm to Emily in Paris, the show could have used more of her right from the first season. Though the other four cast members have solely carried this show, I am not complaining but the fangirl always wishes for Ashley.

Renée Elise Goldsberry as Wickie is my favorite character so far. Her shift of expression is so sudden and smooth that it makes you wonder where she gets all that energy from. Her screen presence and dialogue delivery so far have been the most exciting.

This season Wickie is more dramatic than ever. Right from the group’s visit to her parent's home to her explaining all her lies and her booking Radio City, everything went downhill. The girls despite all the shortcomings did manage to save their face, and we have to thank Summer for that.

Busy Philipps as Summer is a character for which you end up feeling bad. From a brainless personality to finally locking the deal at Radio City for the band, her character has come a long way. Many more things can be expected from her character in the further seasons.

Sara Bareilles as Dawn is somewhat of a balanced personality and she is the one who brings a sensibility to Girls 5eva. Hadn’t it been for her, we wouldn’t have got the group back in season 1. This season, she is pregnant, but that doesn’t stop her from achieving her dreams.

When it comes to humor, no one can beat Paula Pell as Gloria. Though the transformation of her character from a band member to a dentist has been the best one, she is seen living and enjoying the tour. Deciding to hook up with 178 different kinds of women, the lady still wanted to go back to her ex-girlfriend whom she left herself. Her scenes of getting the hang of last night’s stands were hilarious.

There are just six short episodes this season, but are they sufficient? The answer is no because this girl gang makes us want more. Though the group has had its fair share of ups and downs still as an audience we want to see them shine bright now.

The end scene of this season is very well-balanced. They concluded that it is great to live in the middle and though they can’t get what they all want, the girls have learned to be happy with what they have.

This season is fabulous and will make you wonder what the next one is going to be the point. The writers have left no point hanging for the next season. The sitcom was rescued by Netflix and this decision was made for all the right reasons. The series deserves a great fanbase keeping in mind how it excels at humor, character development, script, and acting.

If I have to remember a scene that was the most memorable, Dawn convinces Wickie’s parents to throw her out of the house just so that she can get a little motivation. What ends up happening is that they also lose the amount for the Radio City show.

Final Score – [7/10]
