The second season of Kleo picks up pace as the red suitcase went missing and now everyone is looking for it. Be it the KGB or the Americans, all are working in their own capacity to retrieve the bag. It's only Nikolai who knows where the bag is (and his few trusted comrades). Kleo gets entangled in the situation and now it's her motive to get the bag safely from the enemies. This however comes at a cost and I'm in awe of her skills to escape death multiple times. Every time you think and see that it's game over for her (which happens numerous times) she's back and with greater strength. Learn from this girl how to have plans A, B, and if required also C in your mind.

With her mother and dear ones around threatened, she has no solution but to face the enemies again. The difference this season carries is that it looks unrealistic because the enemies let her go without killing her. This doesn't sound convincing when multiple people are getting killed for the same reason. The series gets so entangled in the political map it has been building for too long that it chooses a simpler ending. I am not satisfied with how they've portrayed the story. The father-daughter duo are ready to set the world on fire despite having different motives.

When you compare the first season with this, a lot of information has been included and we're not here to keep a tab on who's who and what have they done. At numerous points, one is bound to get confused about the plot and this doesn't go in the favour of the show. I wish that they could've kept it simpler for the audience to keep a hold of the events happening.

After watching the first episode of this season, I thought that this one was going to be nice not that the first was that great still, it was bearable. This falls on the opposite side of the spectrum. When involved in a political war, the show takes its imagination to the next level, and what was with all those unnecessary twists and characters being included?

The makers could've learned a thing or two from successful titles of this genre and their lack of research will have a heavy impact on how the audience will perceive the series. Kleo is seen going places to look for clues and wherever she goes there are death threats yet she is safe. You can say that it was her tactical skills but no, it was the writers who didn't want any harm to reach their main leads. As for acting, an average job has been done and the engagement levels wavered with each passing moment.

In all, the second season of Kleo isn't that attractive and you can easily skip it. The ending however has a twist and there'll be more seasons to come. Let's hope that a better job will be done in the forthcoming ones and that they'll not be a disappointment.

Final Score – [5/10]
