Netflix has officially renewed the critically-acclaimed series “Cobra Kai” for season 5. The announcement has come before the premiere of Season 4 in December this year (Reportedly December 31st).
“Cobra Kai” Season 5 is all set to begin production in October this year in Atlanta, Georgia.
Netflix has already teased the All Valley Karate Tournament, which will be the main focus of the fourth season. Cobra Kai was teasing this since season 3 arrived and finally, it's happening now. The teaser shows our Karate warriors training to fight and defend what they call “the soul of the valley is on the line.”
Dupree Young and Oona O'Brien are a couple of characters, who have joined the cast in season 4. Season 3 was one of the most-watched shows on Netflix. Netflix renewed the series for a fourth season in October 2020. The show, which is based on the film franchise The Karate Kid and produced by Sony Pictures Television, debuted on YouTube Premium before heading to Netflix for its third season.
Written by Josh Heald, Jon Hurwitz, and Hayden Schlossberg's production company Counterbalance Entertainment, executive produced Cobra Kai. Will Smith, James Lassiter, and Caleeb Pinkett Smith also executive produced along with Susan Ekins. Ralph Macchio and William Zabka are co-executive producers.
Courtney Henggeler, Mary Mouser, Tanner Buchanan, Jacob Bertrand, Gianni Decenzo, and Peyton List also stars in “Cobra Kai.” Tamlyn Tomita and Yuji Okumoto will also appear.
