Netflix has revealed a new full-length trailer (watch above) for Sci-Fi and Mystery-Horror series, “1899”. Coming from the creators of Drak, the multi-language series will release on November 17 on Netflix, worldwide.

The eight-episode series follows the intriguing circumstances surrounding an immigrant ship's passage from Europe to New York. The travelers, who come from all origins and countries, are brought together by their hopes and dreams for the new century and their future overseas. Their quest takes an unexpected turn when they uncover a second ship adrift on the open sea that had been missing for months. What they discover onboard will transform their journey to the promised land into a nightmare-like conundrum, intertwining each passenger's past through a web of secrets.

Jantje Friese and Baran bo Odar, the creators behind the award-winning German-language Netflix series DARK, have assembled an international cast including Emily Beecham, Aneurin Barnard, Andreas Pietschmann, Miguel Bernardeau, Rosalie Craig, Clara Rosager, Maciej Musial, Lucas Lynggaard Tønnesen, Maria Erwolter, Isabella Wei, Gabby Wong, Yann Gael, Mathilde Ollivier, José Pimentão, Jonas Bloquet, Fflyn Edwards, Alexandre Willaume and Anton Lasser, among others.

Odar and Friese reunite with the DARK universe's exceptional talent behind the camera, including director of photography Nikolaus Summerer, set designer Udo Kramer, hair and makeup designer Christina Wagner, and composer Ben Frost, as well as new collaborators such as casting director Lucy Bevan, Oscar-nominated costume designer Bina Daigeler, and Framestore's integrated visualization, virtual production, and VFX teams led by Christian Kaestner.

Filming took place in a new custom-built virtual production stage. It is Europe's largest LED 'Volume' of its kind, enabling the capture of a huge number of complex visual effects images in-camera via virtual sets and settings developed with game engine technology. The cutting-edge virtual production stage will be permanently located at the long-standing Babelsberg Studios, outside Berlin, and will provide content creators with new and innovative ways of creative storytelling. It is owned by DARK BAY, a dedicated company set up by DARK WAYS and Studio Babelsberg with Netflix backing. Watch Behind-the-scenes footage from the Netflix series "1899," below.

1899 is produced by DARK WAYS in cooperation with Netflix. DARK WAYS receives funding support for 1899 from the German Motion Picture Fund and Medienboard Berlin-Brandenburg.
