Another sci-fi series set in the dystopian future is on the way. Netflix has revealed a teaser and premiere date for its upcoming German-English sci-fi series “Tribes of Europa.” Set in the year 2074, the post-apocalyptic series will premiere worldwide on Netflix on February 19.

“Tribes of Europa” is set in the year 2074. After a mysterious global catastrophe what remains of Europe is fractured into countless micro-states. Several so-called ‘Tribes’ fight for dominance over the continent. This is the post-apocalyptic, adventurous saga of three siblings who set out to change the fate of this new “EUROPA”.

The German-made series is Produced by Wiedemann & Berg Television (Quirin Berg and Max Wiedemann), exec. producers of Netflix's mind-bending “Dark.” There are six episodes in the first season. This series was announced back in 2018 alongside The Barbarians as part of Netflix's investment into the German entertainment industry. The Barbarians premiered in October this year and has been quite a hit among the Netflix audiences worldwide.

Up and coming teen actors Henriette Confurius, Emilio Sakraya, and David Ali Rashed will play the central role of three siblings caught up in this post-apocalyptic new war that rages across Europe. James Falkner, who played Randyll Tarly in 'Game of Thrones' also appears as General Francis F. Cameron. Iranian actor Melika Foroutan will also play a central role as Varvara. Oliver Masucci will play Moses.

The show is written by Philip Koch, Jana Burbach, and Benjamin Seiler. Philip Koch is also the creator and the showrunner.

Rachel Eggebeen, Director EMEA Original Series at Netflix: “Philip Koch’s vision of the future makes for thrilling entertainment. We are extremely happy to bring this bold story to the world together with Wiedemann & Berg.” Executive Producer Quirin Berg adds: “TRIBES OF EUROPA has turned out to be a fascinating saga, a great adventure that can inspire people around the globe.
