As the same itself suggests, this series revolves around a scandalous premise which soon turns into something very sinister, messier, and also with a touch of psychological drama. The plot revolves around three university friends, Phaphaeng, Gale, and Queen, each having a contrasting personality, yet having a thick friendship with each other. Phaphaeng is bold, Queen is the quiet one, while Gale embodies wealth and elegance. Their lives changed one night, when, after a party, one of them was found dead, while the other two have zero recollections of what happened on the fateful night. So now, the other two are left with no other option but to recall the incidents and find the murderer of their friend. In between the investigation, we also came to know that the so-called friendship was artificial and on a surface level. These three were never truly friends with one another. Their bond was built on fake connections, status, and mutual benefits.

There are so many flaws in the show that I cannot begin to name them. Nonetheless, let’s start one by one. First of all, the plot is predictable. Like when you read it, is there anything new that you came to know? Nothing. It is rather obvious what happened and also, the arc of their friendships was fake. That part is the one that irritated me so much. Post a couple of episodes later, you will realize who was behind the murder and why. So, as such, there is no thrill of watching the show. The makers even followed the most predictable pattern of showing that each of the characters is different from one another. Like, yes, we all know that.

The acting feels so fake by the entire star cast that even they can't save the already badly written plot of the show. Everyone is getting on board as if they are in an attempt to prove something. That performance is also something that boils the blood.

The entire length and duration also go heavily against One Night Stand. For thirteen episodes, there was nothing new that the makers provided. Rather, all they did was just drag the plots, which didn’t even make sense. The whole sense of the plot was so annoying. And the pacing was next-level annoying. How can one expect us to watch something at a snail’s pace? At one point, it feels like we are stuck in a loop altogether with no ending. This was one of the most annoying points of the show.

I also hated the ending, because, well, after watching something for so long, how can one expect us to be okay with what was ultimately served? All in all, this was such a poor show to watch. A plot that made absolutely no sense. Dear viewers, you have plenty of murder mysteries to watch; kindly opt for that one. One Night Stand doesn’t serve you well with what you expect. It is better not to waste time and watch something much better and amazing in the same genre.
