‘Outer Banks’ Season 2 has officially wrapped filming today in Barbados, the majority of season 2 was already filmed and for the few remaining scenes, the cast went to Barbados for filming in February.

The second part of filming season 2 started on February 21 in Barbados and has finally wrapped up, which also marks the complete wrap on the second season. The news comes from assistant director Michael G. Jefferson, who posted about the wrap on his Instagram account.

Series star Jonathan Daviss also confirmed via Twitter that he has wrapped up filming on season 2, "I wrapped filming season 2 of @obxonnetflix today, and all I can say is WOW. Hope you guys enjoy."

Season 2 is likely to premiere in Summer 2021 (Late June) on Netflix, however, we still don't have any confirmed news about it. Netflix is already lagging in good shows this year. After Bridgerton, we hardly see any other series which has good viewership. However, in April, Netflix has "Shadow and Bone," in May it has Jupiter Legacy, both of these have the potential to break the viewership records.

Season 1 ended with a capsized boat bobbing up and down during a storm in the middle of the ocean with John B and Sarah on that boat. Their families probably think they have been killed by the storm, but they were picked up the following day by a tanker heading for the Bahamas, the same place Ward stashed the gold.

Outer Banks is created and executive produced by Jonas Pate, Josh Pate, and Shannon Burke, all of whom are returning as showrunners and executive producers for Season 2.

Outer Banks is a coming of age story that follows a tight-knit group of local teens (aka the Pogues) in the Outer Banks of North Carolina. When a hurricane kills the power for the summer season, it sets off a chain of illicit events that force the friends to make life-altering decisions. The search for their ringleader’s missing father, forbidden romances, a high-stakes treasure hunt, and the escalating conflict between the Pogues and their rivals turn their summer into one filled with mystery and adventure they’ll never forget.

The show stars Chase Stokes, Madelyn Cline, Madison Bailey, Jonathan Daviss, Rudy Pankow, Austin North, Drew Starkey, Deion Smith, and Charles Esten, all are reprising their roles in season 2.

“Outer Banks” Season 1 is currently streaming globally on Netflix.
