Part-Time Wife is a classic case of dramas that start like any other nice, polished romance but soon turn into something else, which wasn’t entirely unexpected. The plot is about a marriage that is going through the rough phases of pressures, emotional neglect, and ways in which pride and arrogance can fracture any beautiful relationship. At the core, we have Riska, a successful CEO whose life feels nothing less than perfect on the surface. She has wealth and influence, all paired with a marriage that appears stable. But that is only what the eyes can see. Deep down, there are cracks in the marriage with her husband, Adimas. This is where we see a shift in the plot: a conventional romance that is no longer there between two people. Soon enough, there is betrayal, lack of trust, and incidents of double life.

The characters of Riska and Adimas, who serve as the leads, are the ones who make Part-Time Wife worth watching. The roles are layered and deeply emotional. The complexities in the characters are what make the show one that has a deep plot.

However, even with all this, the plot is highly predictable. In the past, too, we have seen many such stories of a soon-to-be broken marriage, trust issues creeping in, all while on the surface, things appear to be highly normal to each one of us. It is nothing new to watch a plot like that. This goes against Part-Time Wife, as yet again, it is following a path many have and continue to follow. I was hoping for something different, but even with the episodes I have so far watched, the plot feels very much the same to me.

Now, let's talk about the good part of the show. As already mentioned, the character development has been done meticulously. For Riska, we can see how her world is coming crashing down on her. There is a significant change in the overall energy between the dynamics the characters share. That makes the whole show worth at least one watch.

Yet even with all this, the pacing proves to be another issue that Part-Time Wife finds itself struggling with. At some point, even after watching a lot, you will see that the episode has hardly made any progress with the plot. All this becomes frustrating again, especially when you are trying to understand how things went south for the couple. The overall length of the show, which is sixty episodes, most of which are yet to be released, also makes Part-Time Wife a cumbersome watch. At a time when most shows divide themselves into seasons, this was a bold move the makers took. So we will have to wait till June to see the complete drama unfold between Riska and Adimas.

So dear readers, if you have the time and patience to watch Part-Time Wife, only then attempt. Otherwise, this isn’t that grand of a watch, and in between, you might get annoyed with whatever is being put up to you.

Final Score- [4/10]
