Netflix has officially confirmed how Season 4 of Stranger Things has been divided into two volumes. The streamer also revealed the first eight minutes from the first episode of Season 4. You can watch it above.

The first volume, which arrives next Friday, May 27 has Seven Episodes, and the rest two of the nine episodes will arrive on July 1.

However, the most surprising thing about the fourth Season is its total runtime. The nine episodes of Season 4 are over 13 hours making each episode almost one and a half-hour long on average. The final episode of Vol. 1, Episode 07 is 1 hour, 38 minutes. Vol. 2 is almost four hours long, with Episode 408 at 1 hour, 25 minutes; and 409 is almost two and a half hours.

If we compare it to a normal TV Show, fans are almost getting 20 episodes this season. Now, we can certainly understand, why it took more than a year to shoot Season 4, which is supersized.

The last time we saw our favorite Hawkins residents, they'd split up after the Battle of Starcourt. Our protagonists Mike (Finn Wolfhard), Will (Noah Schnapp), Eleven (Millie Bobby Brown), Dustin (Gaten Matarazzo), and Lucas (Caleb McLaughlin) must find out how to put a stop to the Upside Down while simultaneously navigating the ups and downs of high school when we pick up six months later. But the drama isn't limited to Hawkins; it's also taking place in Russia, California, and other places. Nobody said being a demon slayer was easy.

Netflix has already decided the fate of Stranger Things by renewing it for Season 5, which will be also its final season. Duffer Brothers announced revealing a special letter, which also hinted at several spin-offs.

Stranger Things was created by The Duffer Brothers and is produced by Monkey Massacre Productions & 21 Laps Entertainment. The Duffer Brothers serve as executive producers on the series, alongside Shawn Levy and Dan Cohen of 21 Laps Entertainment, and Iain Paterson.
