Netflix has revealed the first teaser trailer (watch above) and premiere date for the second season of the Turkish-language series ‘The Club.’ Also titled Kulüp in Turkish, ‘The Club’ Season 2 will be released on September 15, 2023, on Netflix, worldwide.

The 10-episode first season of the series was divided into two parts. The first part was released on November 5, 2021, while the second part premiered on January 6, 2022. This time, Netflix is releasing all the episodes of the second season at once. Although there is no official confirmation, the second season is likely to be 10 episodes long again.

In Season 2, Raşel raises her daughter at Club Istanbul with the support of her mother when her husband dies, but their relationship is tested by grief and betrayal.

The first season followed the story of Matilda, a seamstress working in Istanbul's most revolutionary nightclub in 1955, and the mother of Rasel, who was unaware of her mother's existence until Matilda was pardoned and released from prison.

The cast of the series includes Gokce Bahadir, Baris Arduc, Salih Bademci, Murat Garibagaoglu, Metin Akdülger, Valeria Lakhina, Merve Seyma Zengin, Doganay Ünal, Firat Tanis, Istar Gökseven, Ilker Kilic, Asude Kalebek, and Sezer Aricay.

In Season 1, Kürşat instigates the Istanbul pogrom with the aid of Ali and his goons, demolishing non-Turkish establishments and assaulting any minorities they may locate. During the riots, Kürşat discovers Orhan's mother Mevhibe, who is concealed by Orhan after having flashbacks of the Burning of Smyrna and beginning to speak Greek in fits of dementia. Kürşat overcomes Orhan and prepares to execute him after informing him of his plans, but is bludgeoned to death by Mevhibe. As riot flames wrap their refuge, Orhan strangles Mevhibe out of pity. Outside, Raşel gets caught in the crossfire while İsmet, who is attempting to defend her, is mauled by Ali's men, much to Ali's pleasure. Matilda saves her just before her water breaks, but she is blocked from entering the club with other refugees by a terrified doorkeeper. Elebi defeats the gatekeeper and saves Matilda and her companions, assisting Raşel in giving birth and redeeming himself to Matilda.

The show is directed by Zeynep Gunay Tan and Seren Yuce and produced by Saner Ayar and Ayse Durmaz for O3 Turkey Medya. The series is written by Ayşin Akbulut, Serkan Yörük, Bengü Üçüncü, Rana Denizer, and Necati Şahin (lead writer).
