‘The Expanse’ Officially Renewed for Season 6 by Amazon

It was not officially announced but as expected, the popular sci-fi series ‘The Expanse’ has officially been renewed for season 6 and it turns out, it will also be the last season of the space battle. The Season 6 renewal comes three weeks before Season 5 debut on Prime Video on December 16. 

However, there is also terrible news attached to it as Cas Anvar is not returning for the sixth season due to the controversy of sexual misconduct allegations on him. The rest of the cast is likely to return for the final season as long as they are required to be part of it. Showrunner Naren Shankar will also be back.

Season 5 will arrive on December 16, 2020. New episodes will drop each Wednesday (first 3 episodes on 16th) working up to the season finale, which will be the 10th episode on 3rd February 2021. Watch the trailer here.

The Expanse Season 4 ended with Marco Inaros and his son Filip on their way to attack Earth with stolen Martian gear. Marco has launched a missile strike on Earth that would penetrate the planet's defenses.
