After revealing the first trailer in February, Warner Bros. Pictures has now revealed another new full-length trailer for the upcoming DCEU movie, ‘The Flash,’ during the Cinemacon 2023. Directed by Andy Muschietti, Ezra Miller reprises their role as Barry Allen in the DC Super Hero’s first-ever standalone feature film, which releases in theaters on June 16, 2023, worldwide.

The trailer begins with Barry talking to Michael Keaton's Bruce Wayne/Batman, "I lost my parents. That pain made me who I am. I spent a lifetime trying to right the wrongs of the past as if fighting crime would bring my parents back." "You actually did it," replies Bruce. As the trailer moves forward Barry Allen regrets going back in time, "I went back in time to save my parents. But instead. I completely broke the universe."

The trailer once again shows the return of Batfleck two years after Zack Snyder's Justice League was released. The trailer also gives a full look at the return of Michael Keaton in the role of the iconic Batman after more than 30 years. In the trailer, he seems to be like a role model to Barry Allen.

In "The Flash," worlds collide when Barry uses his superpowers to travel back in time and change the events of the past. But, when his attempt to save his family inadvertently changes the future, Barry finds himself trapped in a world where General Zod has returned, threatening annihilation, and there are no Super Heroes to turn to. That is unless Barry can entice a very different Batman out of retirement and free an imprisoned Kryptonian... albeit not the one he seeks. Barry's only hope of saving the world he is in and returning to the future he knows is to race for his life. Will the ultimate sacrifice, however, be sufficient to reset the universe?

“The Flash” ensemble also includes Sasha Calle as Supergirl, Michael Shannon as General Zod, Ron Livingston as Henry Allen, Maribel Verdú as Nora Allen, Kiersey Clemons as Iris West, Antje Traue, Saoirse-Monica Jackson, Rudy Mancuso, Luke Brandon Field, Michael Keaton as Batman, and Ben Affleck as Bruce Wayne/Batman (DCEU).

“The Flash” is produced by Barbara Muschietti and Michael Disco. The screenplay is by Christina Hodson, with a screen story by John Francis Daley & Jonathan Goldstein, and Joby Harold, based on characters from DC. The executive producers are Toby Emmerich, Galen Vaisman, Walter Hamada, and Marianne Jenkins.

The adaptation of the comic book story Flashpoint was long in discussion with the film first reported to begin development in 2004, with multiple writers and directors attached to the project through 2014. The film was redeveloped as part of the DCEU, with Miller playing the title role. Over the years, several directors were associated with the project, with Seth Grahame-Smith, Rick Famuyiwa, and the team of John Francis Daley and Jonathan Goldstein all leaving due to creative differences. Muschietti and Hodson joined the project in July 2019, with pre-production beginning in January 2020.

Flashpoint has already been adapted into multiple projects including, The CW's The Flash and Legends of Tomorrow. The story was also adapted into an animated movie- Justice League: The Flashpoint Paradox in 2013.
