The filming schedule for the second season of Netflix's action-packed spy-thriller series ‘The Recruit' is officially out now. Starring Noah Centineo in the leading role, this first season was released last year on December 16 on Netflix, worldwide.

‘The Recruit’ Season 2 is scheduled to begin filming on July 11, 2023, in North Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. The filming will take almost three months to officially wrap up on September 28, 2023. The first season of the series was filmed at multiple locations around the world which includes Los Angeles, California, United States; Montreal, Quebec, Canada; and Vienna, Austria. It will be interesting to see if the second season also adapts a similar strategy. While renewing the show, Netflix has already confirmed that the second season will premiere in 2024.

The first season follows Owen Hendricks (Noah Centineo), a young CIA lawyer whose first week on the job is turned upside down when he discovers a threatening letter from former asset Max Meladze (Laura Haddock), who threatens to expose the agency unless she is cleared of a serious crime. As he travels the world in the hopes of completing his assignment and making a name for himself at the CIA, Owen quickly becomes entangled in a dangerous and often absurd world of power politics and devious players.

In the finale of the first season, Owen and Max find themselves tied up in a leaky basement when the same blonde woman Owen had flirted with earlier and later spotted during the final shootout walks into the room with a gun. “Karolina,” says a surprised Max, before getting shot in the chest. Then Karolina turns to Owen and says, “Who are you, and what the fuck are you doing with my mother?”

Season 2 will pick up from the cliffhanger ending that found Owen and Max captured with their lives endangered. Max is shot, but she may not be dead. It will be interesting to see how Owen gets himself out after being caught in the troubling mother-daughter relationship, who are after each other's life. Noah Centineo, Laura Haddock, Maddie Hasson, and Fivel Stewart will reprise their roles in Season 2.

The first season of ‘The Recruit’ received mixed reactions from the critics, while some called it a brilliant and funny spy-thriller series while some mentioned that the first few episodes were dull, and the series only picks up in the second half. We also reviewed the show and our critic pointed out, "Laura Haddock is the best thing about this series. She effortlessly shifts between being tragic, femme fatale, and deadly. If nothing else, you can watch The Recruit for Haddock's performance." Read the ‘The Recruit’ Season 1 Review.

The series is executive produced by Noah Centineo, Doug Liman, Gene Klein, and David Bartis on behalf of Hypnotic, Charlie Ebersol, Adam Ciralsky, and Alexi Hawley who also serves as Creator and Showrunner. The series also stars Laura Haddock, Aarti Mann, Colton Dunn, Fivel Stewart, Vondie Curtis Hall, Daniel Quincy Annoh, Kristian Bruun, Angel Parker, Byron Mann, and Kaylah Zander.
