You earn points by killing Joe's troops. Defend your own city successfully and you get full credit. Reinforce an ally's city and you still earn points, though at a reduced rate. The twist? After you lose two defenses, Joe stops attacking you entirely. That doesn't end your participation, though. You can keep reinforcing teammates who are still in the fight.
Shields don't work during this event. Neither do excuses about not having troops ready.
Infantry dominates Crazy Joe because of how turn-based combat works in Whiteout Survival. They engage first, land the most kills, and maximize your points before Lancers or Marksmen even get a chance to swing.

Send your Infantry first when reinforcing other cities. If those get depleted, follow up with Lancers. Leave Marksmen at home because they contribute almost nothing to kill counts in this event unless your frontline completely collapses.
Start sending reinforcements to alliance members before the event even begins. This positions your troops for immediate action when wave 1 hits, letting you rack up points from the first second.

Coordinate with your alliance on timing. You need maximum participation, especially during waves 7, 14, and 17. These elite waves offer roughly double the normal points but only target online players. Missing them tanks your individual score and hurts your alliance ranking.
Activate all available buffs and pets before the event starts. Army capacity increases let you send more troops, which directly translates to more kills and higher scores. Pet bonuses boost your kill rates significantly.
Here's the thing: the most effective tactic involves coordinating with specific alliance members to exchange troops. You send your forces to defend their cities while they do the same for you. This creates a beautiful situation where both players earn points from defending each other's bases.
The math works out incredibly well. Let's say you send 100,000 Infantry to reinforce five different allies. You're not just earning points for defending your own city anymore. You're collecting points from successfully defending six locations simultaneously. That multiplier effect separates top performers from average ones.
After wave 9 ends, immediately recall your best troops and heroes. Send them to the Alliance HQ for wave 10, which exclusively targets that location. The strongest player with the highest rally capacity should lead the HQ defense.

Wave 10 focuses on maximum damage output. Enemy forces are relatively weak here, so Lancers actually contribute meaningful kills alongside Infantry. The recommended split is 60% Infantry and 40% Lancers, with zero Marksmen.
After wave 10 concludes, recall those troops again and redistribute them for waves 11-19. Then repeat the recall process after wave 19 to position your strongest march for wave 20.
Wave 20 is different. Enemy damage spikes dramatically, so survival becomes the priority over pure damage. The core goal is ensuring your HQ doesn't get breached. Failed HQ defenses cost your alliance massive points.
Never heal troops during the event. This seems counterintuitive, but healed troops return to your city and interfere with reinforcements sent by allies. Injured troops keep fighting and contributing. Healing removes them from battle and actually lowers your potential points.
Don't waste reinforcements on cities that already failed twice. Those players are eliminated and can't generate any more points for you or themselves. Redirect your troops to active targets instead.
Avoid teleporting during the event unless you absolutely must. It cancels your participation in whatever wave sequence you're currently in, whether that's waves 1-9 or 11-18.
Advanced alliances sometimes use what's called the "zero defense" strategy. You send all your Infantry and Lancers to reinforce allies, leaving only Marksmen and heroes at home. When Joe attacks your empty city, you don't lose points because there's nothing substantial to kill.
This approach maximizes your scoring potential by keeping your best troops active elsewhere. Just coordinate tightly with your alliance so nobody accidentally leaves critical positions undefended. One miscommunication and the whole strategy collapses.
