Turkish Series ‘The Tailor’ Season 2 Trailer and Release Date on Netflix

Netflix has revealed a new trailer for the second season of ‘The Tailor.’ The first trailer was revealed just a week after the first season debuted on Netflix. The Turkish-language series, ‘The Tailor’ Season 2 will release on July 28, 2023, on Netflix, worldwide.

The series which is inspired by a true story, follows a famous tailor, who sews a wedding dress for his best friend’s fiancée, but all three have dark secrets that will soon upend their lives.

‘The Tailor’ Season 2 will follow Peyami as he faces new challenges as his friendship with Dimitri is tested, Esvet spends more time at the house with Mustafa, and a new woman enters Peyami's life.

In the first season, When Peyami learns of his grandfather's death, he is forced to confront his family — and his troubled past. Mustafa, Peyami's father, had a disability for which he was severely harassed as a child. As a result, when Mustafa and Peyami's strict grandmother, Sülün, relocates to Istanbul to live with Peyami, he conceals his father from everyone around him, including his childhood closest friend, Dimitri. Peyami soon finds a caregiver for Mustafa, not understanding he's just hired Esvet, who has fled her abusive fiancé, Dimitri, and is now hiding out under a different identity. As the story progresses, Dimitri's, Esvet's, and Peyami's secrets are revealed in ways that jeopardize their livelihoods.

The leading cast of the series includes Çağatay Ulusoy as Peyami, Şifanur Gül as Esvet, Salih Bademci as Dimitri, and Olgun Şimşek as Mustafa.

The first season of The Tailor was praised for its style and story. "The Tailor is made with care and a lot of attention to detail. The filmmaking tools are effectively used to bring the story to life," wrote our critic Vikas in his review of the show. Created by executive producer Onur Güvenatam, the series follows Peyami, who is a famous tailor and has just completed a successful runway show, despite the antics of his crazy best friend, Dimitri. The joy is short-lived, however, as his grandfather's death threatens to expose what he is too humiliated to face. But he isn't the only one hiding the truth: Dimitri is holding his fiancée, Esvet until she flees and adopts another name while working as a caregiver for Peyami's father.
