Netflix has revealed the first trailer and premiere date for the Korean-language series, ‘Under the Queen’s Umbrella.’ The historical comedy-drama series ‘Under the Queen’s Umbrella’ will release on October 15, on Netflix and tvN (South Korea) with the first episode. The second episode will premiere on October 16 and thereafter new episodes will arrive every Saturday and Sunday.
The 16-episode series centers on the Joseon Dynasty's unique palace education system. The drama will follow the palace's struggle to build decent princes out of its five troublemaking princes, who generate nothing but issues for the royal family. Kim Hye Soo will play Queen Im Hwa Ryung, the wife of a renowned monarch and the long-suffering mother of five troublesome boys in the drama.
The lead cast of the series includes Kim Hye-soo as Queen Im Hwa-ryeong, Kim Hae-sook as Queen Dowager, and Choi Won-young as King Lee Ho. Also starring in the series are Moon Sang-min as Grand Prince Sung-nam, Bae In-hyuk as Crown Prince, Yoon Sang-hyun as Grand Prince Mu-an, Yoo Seon-ho as Grand Prince Gye-seong, Park Ha-jun as Grand Prince Il-young, Ok Ja-yeon as Royal Consort Gwi-in Hwang, Kim Ga-eun as Royal Consort So-yong Tae, Woo Jung-won as Royal Consort Gwi-in Go, and more.
