Netflix has revealed the trailer and release date for its upcoming Indonesian horror-thriller film, The Elixir (Abadi Nan Jaya), directed by the acclaimed Kimo Stamboel, and set to release on October 23 on Netflix. The trailer offers a haunting preview of the ominous chain of events that led to the terrifying fate of innocent individuals. It sets a chilling atmosphere, immersing viewers in a gripping tale of horror and the desperate struggle for survival against overwhelming odds.

Set in a remote village near Yogyakarta, the movie begins with a patriarch's ambition to maintain power, which leads to family disputes and catastrophe. Kenes (Mikha Tambayong) and her family visit her father, Sadimin (Donny Damara), who owns a well-known herbal medicine business, to discuss the future of the family enterprise. Tensions escalate when Kenes confronts her best friend, Karina (Eva Celia), about her intention to marry Sadimin. However, the argument quickly turns to fear when Sadimin, having just consumed his new potion for eternal youth, suddenly loses consciousness and transforms into a terrifying creature—a zombie.

As chaos erupts, the undead surge forward, bringing terror to humanity, while the uninfected scramble frantically to escape the relentless onslaught. In this moment of crisis, all personal disagreements, egos, and emotions are cast aside; survival depends on unity and mutual assistance.
