Amazon Releases Trailer for Horror Comedy ‘Get Duked!’

Amazon Studios has just released the first trailer for horror, comedy “Get Duked!,“ (originally titled Boyz in the Wood) the debut film from director Ninian Doff. The film will be available to watch at Amazon Prime Video on August 28.

Eddie Izzard, Kate Dickie, Georgie Glen, James Cosmo, Samuel Bottomley, Viraj Juneja, Rian Gordon, and Lewis Gribben star in the horror-comedy. Set deep in the Scottish Highlands, “Get Duked!“ is an anarchic cocktail of generational politics, hip-hop loving farmers, and hallucinogenic rabbit shites.

The film follows the story, when a trio of teenage miscreants are given one last chance to turn their lives around by completing the Duke of Edinburgh Award trek across the highlands. Along for ride is one little overachiever who is in this for the opportunity to pad his CV. They don't have anything in common, but the ragtag quartet are dropped in the middle of nowhere with nothing but a map and they have to work together to reach their campsite before dark. However, they aren't as alone as they think, and soon they are being stalked by wealthy aristocrats who intend to hunt and kill them for sport, and they only have their wits to protect them.

Produced by Tobey Maguire and Matthew Plouffe’s Material Pictures and written and directed by Ninian Doff, the film was originally scheduled to be released on August 7.

Amazon acquired the film after its noteworthy festival run, starting with a world premiere as the 2019 opening Midnight Movie at SXSW under the title Boyz in the Wood.
