Apple TV+ ‘The New Look’ Episode 9 Review - The Complexities Increase

With a heavy heart, the Dior family is all set to bid adieu to their beloved father. Post the funeral services, a very concerned Raymond at the dinner table casts his doubts on Christian warning to not end up in a phase like their father once did. On the other Monsieur Friedman has become a hopeless father- he is still awaiting the news of his daughter Tania who was in the same camp as Catherine. Catherine knows what has happened to Tania. But she is still not ready to tell the truth to him. And as Catherine wrestles with her conscience, will she ultimately choose honesty and disclose Tania's fate to her father, or will she shield him from the painful truth?

On the professional front, Christian faces a myriad of challenges, including shortages in nearly every aspect except for skilled seamstresses. Desperate to meet looming deadlines, he must hire additional seamstresses, yet he staunchly refuses to poach talent from his competitors, deeming it unethical. This stance, however, threatens to jeopardize the launch of his collection. Will Christian overcome his principles to meet his deadlines, or will his unwavering integrity lead to his downfall? And as Catherine wrestles with her conscience, will she ultimately choose honesty and disclose Tania's fate to her father, or will she shield him from the painful truth? The answers to these dilemmas remain uncertain, their resolutions hanging in the delicate balance of personal integrity and familial bonds.

The show reflects greatly and deeply on the lives of two of the biggest icons in the world of fashion.  Against this backdrop, the narrative unfolds, offering insights into the personal and professional triumphs and tribulations of Christian Dior and Coco Channel.  Will it culminate in a triumph of creativity and vision, or will unforeseen challenges threaten to derail the dreams of our protagonists? Only time will tell.
