‘Black Adam’ Teaser Revealed at DC FanDome, JSA’s Hawkman, Dr. Fate, and Cyclone Introduced

Dwayne Jhonson revealed the official teaser (watch above) for the upcoming anti-hero film “Black Adam” during the DC Fandome panel. He also introduced the Justice Society of America characters, Hawkman, Dr. Fate, and Cyclone who will feature in this film. Atom Smasher was announced earlier as part of JSA who will be part of this film.

The Rock who is playing Black Adam was joined by his co-star Noah Centineo, who plays Black Adam’s foe Atom Smasher, to reveal the surprising news.

The Teaser was voiced by Johnson's Black Adam who says “5,000 years ago, Kahndaq was a melting pot of magic and powers. Most of us had nothing except the chains around our necks. Kahndaq needed a hero; instead, they got me. I did what needed to be done…and they imprisoned me for it. Now, 5000 years later, I’m free. And I give you my word, no one will ever stop me again.”

The Rock had a message for existing DC superheroes Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman, Flash, Aquaman, Cyborg about Black Adam: “Let them know something — things will never be the same hierarchy in the DC universe, it’s about to change.”

“I have a knack for destroying bullies, but there are some who think I need help,” Johnson narrated as Black Adam. “Hawkman, Doctor Fate, and their recruits: Cyclone and Atom Smasher. They call themselves the Justice Society, an organization that believes in fighting for truth and justice. Well, I’m going to teach them that the only beliefs I fight for are mine. Welcome to the truth, justice, and the Black Adam way.”

The Justice Society of America is a popular superhero team introduced by DC Comics in 1940. Originally including Green Lantern, Atom, Flash, Hawkman, Hour-Man, Spectre, Sandman, and Doctor Fate, there have been scores of other members and iterations of the group through the years in comic books.

In the comics, Doctor Fate is a sorcerer, Cyclone manipulates the wind, Atom Smasher can grow large and Hawkman flies and smashes things with a magic mace.

“Black Adam” is scheduled to be released on Dec. 22, 2021.
