Marvel Studios seem to have officially revealed the premiere date for ‘Black Panther: Wakanda Forever’ on Disney+. The official Disney+ streaming page for the film has listed the release date, which is yet to be announced via the streamer's and the studios' official social media accounts.

As per Disneyplus.com website in the US, ‘Black Panther: Wakanda Forever’ will release on Wednesday, February 1, 2023, on Disney+, worldwide.

In the wake of King T’Challa’s death, Queen Ramonda (Angela Bassett), Shuri (Letitia Wright), M'Baku (Winston Duke), Okoye (Danai Gurira), and the Dora Milaje (including Florence Kasumba) fight to safeguard their homeland from intervening foreign powers in Marvel Studios' "Black Panther: Wakanda Forever." As the Wakandans attempt to embrace their next chapter, the heroes must band together and build a new path for the kingdom of Wakanda with the help of War Dog Nakia (Lupita Nyong'o) and Everett Ross (Martin Freeman).

Black Panther: Wakanda Forever released in theaters on November 11, 2022. With a budget of $250 million, it has earned $820.1 million at the box office so far, which makes it a financially successful film. The film also received positive feedback from the critics and the audience. It has an 84% critics score and 94% audience score on Rotten Tomatoes. Read our "Black Panther: Wakanda Forever" Review.

‘Black Panther: Wakanda Forever’ changes the dynamic of MCU by introducing Shuri as the next Black Panther after T'Challa, king of Wakanda, dies from an illness. His sister, Shuri, believed that the illness could have been cured by the "heart-shaped herb," but she fails to synthetically recreate the herb after it was destroyed by Erik Killmonger.

Directed by Ryan Coogler from a script by Coogler and Joe Robert Cole, the film also stars Dominique Thorne, Michaela Coel, Mabel Cadena, and Alex Livanalli, as well as Tenoch Huerta as Namor, king of a hidden undersea nation.

The upcoming Disney+ series Ironheart, set to premiere this year, will be a spinoff and a sequel to this film. The third film in the Black Panther series is also in discussion, which may introduce a new Black Panther. Another spinoff series set in Wakanda is also in active development at Disney+.
