‘Dark Desire’ Season 2 Gets Trailer and Release Date at Netflix

Netflix has revealed a new trailer (watch above) and confirmed the release date for the second and final season of "Dark Desire" (Oscuro deseo). The Spanish-language series, Dark Desire Season 2 will release on February 2 on Netflix, worldwide.

The first season has 18 episodes of 30-40 minutes each, which was quite unusual for a Netflix series. The streamer hasn't confirmed the no. of episodes for this season, but considering that it is also the final season, we can expect it to be as long as the first season. Season 1 was watched by 35 million households worldwide in its first 28 days.

Season 1 of Dark Desire ended with solving the biggest mystery exposing the murderer of Brenda, and shockingly, it was no one. None of the men murdered Brenda, she actually died by suicide soon after Alma left her home. But that is not all, there is still a lot of secrets left to be unraveled, like what were the circumstances that led to Brenda's suicide and why other characters never explored this angle (the police angle)?

Season 2 of the series is likely to see Alma beginning a new search to unveil the reasons that led to Brenda's death. She will also follow Brenda’s suicide note voicemail, which is the only piece of evidence that reveals the accurate details of her death.

Dark Desire follows Alma Solares, a prestigious lawyer, and college professor visits her best friend for the weekend to “process the grief” of the latter’s divorce. Alma meets Dario Guerra, a 23-year-old, during the getaway, and they have a wild secret affair. She returns home with her husband and daughter, determined to forget her blunder, but her life turns into a living misery. What began as a modest adventure becomes an explosive desire, and ultimately a lethal obsession, unraveling a web of past secrets that fatally connects them all.
