Netflix has revealed the first trailer and release date for the Danish-language film ‘Loving Adults.’ Starring award-nominated Dar Salim and Sonja Richter, the adult dark-thriller movie ‘Loving Adults’ will release on August 26. The film will also be broadcasted on TV 2 in Denmark at some point.
The film is based on Anna Ekberg's novel Kaerlighed for voksne, which has been distributed in nine countries, including France, Italy, and Spain.
Loving Adults is a thriller movie full of twists and turns, and nothing is as it seems. Christian (Dar Salim) and Leonora (Sonja Richter) look to have it all. They have the perfect life with their son, who has recently been declared healthy after a long period of serious sickness. Their future seemed to be brightening, but during a party hosted by Christian's entrepreneur company, Leonora notices her husband with a younger lady, architect Xenia (Sus Wilkins). Leonora realizes Christian may leave her. He couldn't? How could he abandon the woman who had given up her career? The mother who has given up everything to care for their son and family? Leonora decides on the spot: she will not be the lady who is left behind, by whatever means necessary.
Additional cast includes Sus Wilkins, Mikael Birkkjær, Benjamin Kitter, Karoline Hamm, Lars Ranthe, Morten Burian, and Natalï Vallespir Sand.
‘Loving Adults’ is directed by the acclaimed director Barbara Rothenborg and produced by Marcella Dichmann for SF Studios, the production company behind Netflix's original Snabba Cash and feature film Red Dot.
