The story is about Dash and Lily when they start to challenge each other and talk to each other through a red notebook, they share their deepest and darkest secrets like pen pals as they have never seen each other before.
Dash and Lily dropped on Netflix recently, all the episodes are pretty small ranging from 25 minutes to 27 minutes.
As Netflix is on its way to releasing Christmas movies in November, "Dash and Lily" is one of them. The story starts with Lily’s brother putting up a challenge in a red notebook and stacks it on a shelf of a bookstore in hope that Lily gets a boyfriend in this holiday season.
Now, when you hear romcom, you are getting into a certain kind of expected storyline. Dash and Lily don’t try to subvert your expectations much and give you exactly what you want.
It warms your heart seeing the love story build-up from the first episode till the last. It is not one of the best rom-com series, but yet it is not the bad one.
The show brings Christmas vibes a lot, and such movies and series have a way with their audience --- teenagers and young adults.
The chemistry between the leads is pretty good, Austin Abrams, who was last seen in chemical hearts, and Midori Francis brings the story to life and makes it very lively as well.
You will love watching this show if you like romcoms, it has an expected end and a sweet love story.
Final Score – [7.5/10]
